The  International Book Fair of Douala , organized by Mr. Wambo Xavier, President of the Association SOS Against the Dramas of Clandestine Immigration (ASDIC), is a major event for book lovers and reading enthusiasts. Launched in 2017, this fair aims to give easy access to books to the population, promote education through books and fight against illiteracy.

The 5th edition of the International Book Fair of Douala is currently held from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm at the crossroads Ndokotti opposite the regional delegation and the Ministry of Public Works. This year, the theme of the fair is "the importance of books and reading". It began on March 29 and will end on April 30, 2023.

The books are sold from 500 FCFA, which makes them accessible to all. The fair is a veritable ocean of more than 200,000 books, including books from all fields, whether academic, professional or educational, and even comic books for children.

The  International Book Fair of Douala takes place every year but it has been stopped for 3 years (from 2020, 2021 and 2022) because of the COVID pandemic. It is therefore with great joy that book lovers met this year to celebrate reading and the benefits it can bring.

In sum, the  International Book Fair of Douala is a must-attend event for all book lovers and for all those who wish to discover new horizons through books.

It offers a unique opportunity to discover a wide variety of books.

We invite you to come to the fair and take this opportunity to explore the wonderful world of reading.
